February’s Adventure — Little Sahara State Park

Today we treated ourselves to a little, part-day road trip to Little Sahara State Park (about 1.5 hours away). 

 

There wasn’t a ton to do there, but we did walk up one of the sand dunes…

 …and also checked out some dare-devil drivin’ by dune buggies on ‘Sand Mountain.’ As usual, the drive there was half the experience — including beautiful layered scenery…

…and interesting teeny towns like Elberta (below) and the old mining town Eureka.
