February 2025 Garden Report

1st week

• started brassicas, some greens, tomatillos, parsley, cilantro, violas — all did well except no germination on violas (old seeds?)
• started peppers and eggplant — didn’t do well. They germinated but then didn’t grow, likely because the room temperature was too low. Next year, I need to either (1) start them later or (2) buy a few more heat mats and keep them on there the whole time until shed  avg temp is a little higher.

3rd week  

• started more greens (for succesion planting….but do I need to bother with that next year? Our cool season is so short it may not be necessary)
