June 2025 Happenings

June was a fun month!  We had our first Wine’d Up market day, and Jac, Madison and Poria put in a lot of work ahead of time getting it all set up and ready to go!

Here we are on the day of the market, ready to sell our buts off!  (Park Silly Market in Park City, UT)

We got a big harvest off the spring garden:

And Jac build a new planter box in the corner of the lot, using leftover cinderblocks (from the bookstore bookshelves).

The end result was so cool and architectural looking and creative!  All from free cinderblocks!  

Father’s Day
June is the month we celebrate awesome dads, and this picture pays tribute to the two awesome dads in my life — (1) Jac and (2) my dad, since that’s dad’s hat that Jac is sporting (and looking so adorable in!) Dad wore that hat often when he came over to help me with my yard, so I was so happy when mom said we could have it AND Jac said he would wear it.  I love this picture so much!!

 
 
We were lucky enough to have several of Jac’s kids over for a barbecue to celebrate this great guy!

 
 
Of course, he cooked the food for his own party, but that’s okay. He loves it! 🙂 

Housewarming Gift for Quinn
Jac helped Quinn and Holly move to Portland, then surprised them with this perfect housewarming gift…

 
 
…which they immediately put to good use:  

He had an elaborate story to ‘deliver’ the gift, which
required so co-conspirators at Home Depot in Portland. It caused A LOT
of stress for Quinn and Holly, but hopefully made the surprise at the
end all the more fun.
  
And last thing… we spiffed up our outdoor dining area and now it looks fantastic!  All the more reason to love it out there. 🙂
