March 2024 Happenings

We puttered A LOT!
March was super busy with shed finishing and garden starting…so much so that I forgot to take pictures of our progress in these areas.  Next month!

We Adventured
A third of the month was spent on our Big Spring Break Trip down to Tucson, Arizona to get married!!!!  Click on the links to read all about those two amazing March events.

Other than the above, the only other things that happened in March were….

Billy Ran Away
Our super curious kitty Billy had stayed out all night before, so we weren’t too worried at first. But after almost a week had passed with no sight of our little guy — and we were leaving to go out of town for a week — we started to think he was gone for good.  I made one last ditch effort to find him by posting these extra large posters outside our house:

Happily, it worked!!!  A neighbor was walking his dog by the house and recognized Billy as the cat who had been hanging out in his backyard for the last week…FIVE streets away!  Luckily, my mom just happened to be at my house to feed the cats when he knocked on the door, so she followed him straight over to rescue our little guy. Yea! Yea! Yea! We got the great news that he was just home minutes after getting married and we were so happy!!  🙂

So now he’s home, where he should be, and a little more cautious now that he’s been “out in the wild.”  He now sticks by our side a lot, and when he’s outside, he doesn’t venture far from the house.  At least for now. While I hope this doesn’t happen again, I’m thinking we’re in for many repeats of this little melodrama.  He’s just such a curious kitty!

As always, we ate well
Here’s a sampling of our delicious culinary adventures in March:

We also had one not-so-delicious culinary adventure. We did decided to “treat” ourselves to the “famous gourmet sliders” at the local Harley Davidson dealership (in their restaurant called Marley’).  I loved the fun and funky decor:

but the sliders were anything but gourmet.  Greasy, poor quality ingredients… bleck!

Jac has completely ruined me for eating in restaurants. Lucky me! 🙂
