February 2024 Happenings
The coolest thing we did in February was to go to a Magic Show in Salt Lake:
First we were seated in the elaborate ‘Grand Chamber’ at Mystique (the venue):
Then, an amuse-bouche (sorbet), followed by the main course–a prime rib dinner:
I was laughing and just shocked as I read it aloud. How did he know? Then, shortly after sitting back down, I figured out how he did it. Oh well, fun nonetheless. 🙂
It was a very unique fun experience, and I’m so glad we went. It was our Valentine’s Day present to each other, and will always be a great memory for us. 🙂
Valentine’s Day
Despite the magic show being our official Valentine’s Day celebration, Jac had this cute and fun surprise for me when I got home from school:
And, he made a DELCIOUS Chinese food meal, with lots of leftovers to enjoy for days to come. What a guy!!!
-We were Swiss! See what we did by clicking here.
-We enjoyed more time out by the warmth of the chimnea:
Super Bowl
We watched the Super Bowl, where Jac’s two favorite teams competed!! Of course, Jac made amazing food, including these yummy homemade hot dogs:
and this huge pile o’ nachos:
Deliciousness
We ate yummy food all month long, like this amazing salad:
And a big pot full of Jac’s unbeatable posole:
And this ‘Betsy survived Parent Teacher conferences’ celebration meal of mini corn-dogs and hush puppies. Yum!
Near the end of the month, we hosted Mom and Cindy for a Mexican Street Taco Extravaganza:
This guy never ceases to amaze me!! 🙂
Adventures with Oliver and Billy
The
kitties continued to add joy–and frustration–to our lives in February, especially this cute
troublemaker, who decided not to come home at all one night! I barley
slept that night, going outside virtually every half hour until midnight to look for
him. While he was out cattin’ around town having his best life, I was
wringing my fingers… “where’s my Billy????” Thankfully he did return the
next day, sauntering in as if nothing happened. Where was he????
And we finally sold my dad’s car!
We capped off the month on a high note by finally selling my dad’s Mercedes. It was a lot harder than we thought it would be, given what great shape the car was in. But we did it, and made my mom $8,000 richer! 🙂
